An image that speaks volumes – FAMILY

The desire to show them ´my´ Norway had been lingering for awhile. Actually I had wished to take them on a roadtrip last summer, but it didn´t materialise.

With a boy heading for middle school and two younger sisters, a roadtrip may have seemed like the worst idea ever to some. Sarcasm was never far away when we told people our holiday plans. But I was adament to show the kids the North Cape. They were on board. We had a goal.

And so it was that we set out on a journey that would fill us with memories to last a lifetime. The nights were white, our sleep was short and sometimes so was our temper. But encounters with moose and reindeer along the way made it all worth it. We drove, took ferries and enjoyed fun and games at adventure parks.

Maybe the wanderlust gene that I myself seem to lack, has been awakened in them. And if not, they will at least appreciate the magnificence of this country we are so fortunate to call home.

Personal projects are a great adventure that often lead us through the most unlikely of paths. Our intention in starting this project is to hone our skills and see where this particular path takes us. We would love it if you joined us on this adventure.

Our intention is for the images to do the talking. We believe a single moment captured forever in a photograph can speak volumes. These images require no words and at the same time, tell a whole story.

Every other month, we will choose a single image to share with you. These images will usually follow a theme. By seeing, we hope you hear our voices.
