It was without at doubt the coldest month of March in ages. Winter had put nature on hold and it looked and felt like full winter. But the clock was ticking and communion shoots were up on the agenda.
In order to finish the sessions in time, I decided to make our home double as a natural light studio. Our home is spacious and light. And I knew it would make the perfect backdrop.
And so it was that I photographed Laura in her light communion dress right here in this house. Communiefotografie voor het communiekaartje van communiekant Laura
Little girls grow up so fast. It had been awhile since I last saw Josefien but she still has that twinkle in her eye.
I’m sharing a few shots from her communion shoot. Ik deel hierbij een paar beelden van de communie fotografie van Josefien op de Heide in Kalmthout.
I first met Leonie when she was only two weeks old.
7 months later I was lucky enough to photograph her at her home with mom and dad. Little does she know that she will be a big sister this summer… This little babygirl stole my heart! With smiles and giggles, she can brighten up even the dreariest of days.
Here’s to Leonie,
This is part 1 of a gorgeous session. I was hired to photograph Juliet for her first communion. And after we would do some additional shots with her two little sisters. There are just too many images so I decided to make this a two-part post.
Het eerste deel van de communiefotografie in Kapellen van de kleine Juliet. Zij deed haar eerste communie en wilde een fotoshoot voor haar communiekaartjes.
Caroline booked her family Christmas minisession in December hoping for snow. And guess what? It snowed that week! As a lifestyle photographer living in Central Europe I am very much at the mercy of the weather. But on that particulare Saturday in December we lucked out! The Heide in Kalmthout was still covered in a thin layer of snow and the sun came out. Perfect for a wintery shoot!
Huge thanks to the gorgeous Caroline, Kris and their children Jack and Olivia. You are a beautiful family and it was a true pleasure to capture you all!
It’s cliché to say that time flies but it’s true. Time seems to move faster as we grow up into adulthood. A week feels like an eternity for our children as they count down till Christmas. Seems like it was yesterday that I sat down to write my last Christmas post.
This past year has been wonderful. Everything is easier somehow. Hard to put my finger on it. We’re getting things done both privately and professionally. Pieces of our lives are slowly falling into place and it feels good.
We’re slowing down and taking time to enjoy.
Take a step back and apprecitate what you have.
Have a wonderful Christmas. Hug your loved ones.
This shoot touched me in sooooo many ways.
When Claire contacted me about a session with families and their adopted babies I was over the moon! I adore Claire. To me, mompreneur Claire checks all the boxes of fabulousness. This shoot is so me… It feels like this is what I was meant to do…
Mr Amazing and I have been blessed with 3 wonderful children. We decided to have a baby, and much to my husband’s joy, we conceived immediately. At the time, that seemed obvious. Two miscarriages and two gorgeous girls later, I know for a fact that each living being is a little miracle.
Each of my pregnancies felt like an eternity. Therefore I can only begin to imagine what it must be like to go through the lengthy process that is adoption. With ups and down, uncertainties and dissapointments… all in hope of the happily ever after. I was so touched by these families’ stories. Their babies will grow up in the comfort and safety of a loving family.
I’m sharing some of my favorites with you here.
Tons of thanks to Claire and Sanne from A New Way for having me!
