I recently did a homestyling project for the sale of a home in Høvik.
My approach was to give every room a designated function. For the photos we chose to add living elements instead of just empty rooms.
Below is the screenshot on Eie Eiendom´s website.
There is something about freshly washed clothing that I love. Dragging laundry up and down a flight of stairs certainly kills the whole washing experience.
I believe that laundry should be done close to the space you undress. Hauling laundry around messes up your flow. Piles of laundry have no place on the dining table.
So in this house I was lucky to have an extra dressing room availble. It was filled to the rim with items we hardly used. Most of them we gave away, thus freeing up space for a laundry room.
I loved working with little Bo. She’s such a fun and happy little girl. I have had the pleasure of following her ever since she was born.
So excited to share some images from a beach session we did with her mom and dad in Knokke on the North Sea coast.
Occasionaly, very insprining people cross my path. Liesbeth and Annelies are two of them.
They are the founding mompreneurs behind Studio Tout Petit. Big plans are in the making. More on that later on.
I love shooting in client’s homes. Kids feel at home and get to share their toys and show me their rooms. It’s such a privilege to be invited into their little worlds of wonder.
Today I’m sharing a lovely homesession with sisters Finne and Nette.
It’s such a privilege to shoot in people’s homes. Even more so with returning clients. I was lucky enough to be invited to the home of Lena and Jeff and their mom Wendy. I’m sharing a few of my favourite images here.
This was going to be about my youngest child Lisa. But it’s not…really. I have to admit that – rather selfishly – it’s about me. About myself as a mother and my feelings of powerlessness with the passing of time. I sit here and realise that yet again time has slipped through my fingers.
There is an ambivalence to seeing our kids grow up. As a mother I want them to be happy, do well and grow into mindful, confident and compassionate adults. But with each birthday I can’t help but feel a sense of sadness creeping up on me. Why is there no pause or rewind button on these kids???
Lisa is our youngest. Our little surprise who makes our lives very eventful. She went from baby to toddler at warp speed. My baby who was wide awake and looked me straight in the eye from day one. This one was going places and wasn’t wasting any time. Clever little thing! It feels as if she came into this world only yesterday, yet today is her last day in preschool.
So here we are… all preschooled out. Ready for a new chapter. We officially have three schoolkids now. Wow… there I said it.
You go girl, go and spread your beautiful wings. Be your best self and follow your kind heart, my little starchild!
I love you.
First part of a sibling homesession I did. A few years ago I photographed big sister Lena when she was 8 months old. I was excited to photograph her baby brother this time!
Sharing a few shots of baby brother Jeff now. More from this session later.
I can’t tell you how thrilled I was to photograph my dear friend Damon and his family! I had the pleasure of spending a day with him and his wife Suze, their one-year old girl Pippa and teckel Beer.
Love you guys to bits!
PS Starting with a few unseen shots that I got of Pippa when she was still a baby…
It was without at doubt the coldest month of March in ages. Winter had put nature on hold and it looked and felt like full winter. But the clock was ticking and communion shoots were up on the agenda.
In order to finish the sessions in time, I decided to make our home double as a natural light studio. Our home is spacious and light. And I knew it would make the perfect backdrop.
And so it was that I photographed Laura in her light communion dress right here in this house. Communiefotografie voor het communiekaartje van communiekant Laura
Little girls grow up so fast. It had been awhile since I last saw Josefien but she still has that twinkle in her eye.
I’m sharing a few shots from her communion shoot.
